What's New

We rebuilt better.

When the Highway PD expansion reached our corner of Verona in 2025, we had a choice: call it a good run after 34 seasons, or rebuild. For our family, that was no choice at all. We spent the winter pouring concrete in the snow and reopened on August 14, 2025 with a brand-new facility, ribbon cut by Shirley Maurer herself. A nicer place to practice, same family running it.

Three generations, one farm

    Henry Maurer buys 162 acres of Wisconsin farmland.

Our Story

Three generations on the same ten acres.

This land has been in the Maurer family since 1954, when Henry Maurer bought 162 acres of Wisconsin farmland. His son Ray took over the fields in 1963. In 1991, Ray and Shirley Maurer carved ten acres of hayfield off the family farm and turned it into the driving range you see today.

Not much has changed about what makes it good: gently rolling hills, quiet country air, and room to hit every club in the bag. And after the 2025 rebuild, the comforts finally match the setting. 2026 marks our 35th season of family-run practice.

We're proud members of the Verona Area Chamber of Commerce. And if you've got a tee time at University Ridge, we're 1.3 miles up the road and the perfect warm-up before your round.

    Club usage is free. Swing by on a whim after work and we'll set you up with everything you need to hit a bucket.

    No bays stacked on top of each other, no clock running. Just rolling farm hills and the sound of a well-struck ball.

    Bottled water and Gatorade at the counter. Pack a lunch for the picnic benches, or order delivery from one of Verona's great local eateries.

  • Warming up for University Ridge?

    We're only 1.3 miles up the road, so you can warm up without any pressure.
